Haleiwa Metric Century, Archival Art Print

Sizes: 5x7”, 8x10”, 11x14” and 12x16”. Fine art print made from a watercolor and ink painting.

This painting was created as the design for the 28th Annual Haleiwa Metric Century ride t-shirt! I had ridden the Haleiwa Century Ride the two years prior and I painted this work with my memories in mind. The scenic ride goes along the North Shore, which is known for its big winter waves. The higher waves in the back indicate how in a set of waves, the following ones are often larger than the first wave of that set. The white tops of the waves are inspired by the Wave of Kanagawa. And I wanted to paint a girl on a beach cruiser because bicycling can be for anyone to enjoy, not just dudes on fast, expensive road bikes :)

This archival art print comes unmatted and unframed. Contact me to inquire about framed option or custom sizes. Prints are produced to fit standard sizing to allow for easy framing. Some cropping from the original painting may occur to fit standard sizes. Open edition prints are unsigned.
