Volcanic Remnants, 5x7” Watercolor on Paper

16/100

Black sand beaches are usually formed when fragments of lava and other volcanic minerals get broken down over centuries by the ocean. Punalu'u beach is a well-known black sand beach on the island of Hawaii I’ve been to. My use of salt turned the black sand into lava rock.

This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by free surfer Fabien Storck of a black sand beach in Guadeloupe, located in the southern Caribbean Sea.

This original painting will be signed and dated. Comes unmatted and unframed.

$10 for shipping and handling will be added at check-out. If the delivery address is based outside of the U.S., additional shipping charges may apply.
